Il Cobra my ass.
Turns out, Mr. Cobra was sucking on a different kind of venom during the fourth stage.
EPO. Sluuuurp sssllluuurp...
Well Cobra, you need to take a trip to animal detention.
I usually refrain from putting doping stories here but this one was a bummer.

What happens to the money the stage-winning rider wins when he is caught cheating? He have to give it back, or does he keep it, knowing that he'll be fined a lot more than what he won?
ReplyDeletehe got caught. It is a good thing. If there was one rider in the peloton that I thought was suspicious it was Ricco. 51% "natural" hemocrit level... yeah right.
ReplyDeleteI dont want to overreact, but I'd take some of that money from him for wasting my time watching this idiot race. Another bummer to the sport itself.
ReplyDeleteI think the money isn't paid out until after the tour has finished (if even that based on stories i've read). I hope Ricco Suave (that was my nickname for him) gets to do a little jail time.
ReplyDeleteWell Sounier Duval is out of the Tour, but the interesting thing is whether the Tour organizers will allow them to race next year. If they will, Astana should drop a bomb on them.
ReplyDeletewhat a dick!
ReplyDeleteBummer is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't get is what about the other stages? Sure, he was tested after every stages...
ReplyDeleteI think Saunier Duval will pull out the sponsorship. No more...
Who is next?
All too true! He needs to be sitting in a jail for a while. As for the money discussion, I feel he and other guilty riders should have to pay back every penny he made from his contract and sponsors.
ReplyDeletePantani his hero? Looks like he didn't just copy the climbing style. What a silly boy!
