6 My beginnings with Pro-E

Created a simple block using PTC's Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0. This was done following the notes from Roger Toogood's Tutorial Book. Its not a very highly rated book as you can see, but sometimes, our University has this knack for sticking with sub-standards.

I think you can not get the only engineering software of Pro/E. You should get the fundemental application on those software including CATIA, AutoCAE, UG NX, Solid Edge, Solid Work....

As for the career, more tech and more ability make you get more good opportunities on the real social profession field. As you know, the job positions are limited but the applicans are too many. You should get the tech that few people get. Then you can get the chance easily.

  2. True.

Pro/E is a huge software with a big learning curve. But our university chose Pro/E to teach engineering undergrads solid modelling. We haven't been taught anything before this.

People seem to like Solidworks more than Pro/E but our instructor is like a Pro/E would-be martyr who won't support anything unless its Pro/E. (the man has been working on Pro/E since its first release, so what do you expect?)

After finishing this class, I want to learn Solidworks and know what I'm missing. Thanks.

Oh,I told you that I had promised to send you some info. and materials on Pro/E. But I forgot that those materials were in Chinese. What a pity. But, anyway, I will try to find some Englis ones as I can. Just hold on and wait for it.

  4. I appreciate that a do you say thank you in Chinese? :)
