Why didn't other cyclists think of that? It's like the cadence thing. It's so simple - peddle faster. Obvious now, but it took a genius like Lance to see it.Zenonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13887692.post-8165421035137667282010-07-08T12:58:06.571-04:002010-07-08T12:58:06.571-04:00"At least with Armstrong lots of the tech eve..."At least with Armstrong lots of the tech eventually works its way into new products."<br /><br />Let's see, the last time a new cycling product that made anyone proven faster was.....?CommieCanuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359032516895341235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13887692.post-40728249673333310272010-07-06T23:50:55.818-04:002010-07-06T23:50:55.818-04:00WRT to stage 3, Horner wrote that Armstrong was fl...WRT to stage 3, Horner wrote that Armstrong was flying on the cobbles on recon day making him literally look like he was standing still. Lots of research but a careful approach of slowly releasing it to the athletes. Except you can't buy their bikes and they burned all the skinsuits afterward (or so the rumor goes). At least with Armstrong lots of the tech eventually works its way into new products. We like to think of these athletes as one man against the world but the successful ones almost always have a strong team behind them. What's interesting about Armstrong is that he appears to have built the team himself. Not many athletes are savvy enough to understand how important that is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
