A Question of Upgrades

Don't buy upgrades; ride up grades.

  1. How you supposed to ride something yo don't buy. Can't ride on borrowed a borrowed bike your whole life. Who's this Merckx clown?? Must be a back of the pack rider to say something like this

  2. That's a good one. Will keep it in mind when I go on my next retail therapy splurge. Will go and find an 18%er instead ... :-)

  3. It always amazes me how good the Flemish and Dutch are at climbing - when they live in the flattest places on earth.

My Flemish friend is SO strong on hills - apparently it's the wind (and riding from the age of 2)

  4. OK... I agree. I'll go with Eddy's advice and save a lot of money by not buying a new set of wheels.
    Thanks Ron!

  5. Will : Riding into the wind can be a simulation of a climb. Here, Buffalo NY is one of the windiest places around, but not a sight of hills anywhere. I like getting off my saddle and eating the wind.
